Ways to activate the data booster for Broadband Homebox to get increased speeds
*The SMS must be sent from the mobile number that is selected as the preferred contact number of the service.
The data booster service is available when you have reached the maximum usage allowed as per the Fair Usage Policy of Broadband HomeBox service. Once you have reached 90% of data usage as per the Fair Usage Policy, Epic will inform you via SMS that your usage is reaching its limit and when the total usage exceeds the Fair Usage Policy the connection speed will be limited to 2Mbps download and 2Mbps upload. You can purchase a data booster of 50GB to increase the download and upload speeds for 50GB that can be used until the end of the current month. Multiple Data boosters can be purchased within a current month.

Terms and conditions of Offer: “Broadband Homebox – 12 months discount to the monthly fee”
1. The Offer “Broadband Homebox – 12 months discount to the monthly fee” (hereinafter the "Offer") is available to existing Epic subscribers of any Mobile Telephony subscription plan, whose subscription has not been suspended in the last 18 months of their contract, and who wish subscribe to the Broadband Homebox (hereinafter "BHB") service for a minimum contract duration of 24 months.
2. The Offer period is from 27/01/2022 until 28/02/2023.
3. With the Offer, the Subscribers will benefit with discount on the monthly fee for 12 months, as per below:

Special Terms & Conditions for Broadband HomeBox
1. The Broadband HomeBox is an internet access service provided at a defined location via epic’s mobile network by using a dedicated device provided by epic on contract signup (“the Device”).
2. The service is available to any customer subscribing to the Broadband HomeBox plan on a 24 month contract.
3. The service can be used only in Cyprus at the location (installation address) defined by the customer in the subscription contract.
4. After the consumption of the included data volume that corresponds to each plan, Broadband Homebox 1 (350 GB), Broadband Homebox 2 (500 GB) and Broadband Homebox 3 (1000 GB):
a. the use of data continues without any extra charge at a reduced speed of 2Mbps.
b. the 50GB Data Booster bundle can be added at an additional cost to increase download/upload speeds for 50GB. For more information please click here - Charges.
5. The Device is provided to the customer for the explicit use of the Broadband HomeBox service and is an asset and ownership of epic. The customer is required to return the device to epic in case of contract termination. In case the customer does not return the Device or returns the Device at a non-good condition, a penalty fee applies as per the official pricelist.
6. In case of contract termination before the expiry of the minimum period of 24 months, the customer shall pay the termination charges as per the official pricelist.
7. The offer for discounted monthly fee for 12 months applies only to existing subscribers on an active 18 or 24 months mobile plan, the subscription of which was not suspended in the last 18 months.

Broadband HomeBox supplementary terms – Internet access quality level
1. Epic will use its best endeavours to provide Broadband HomeBox (“the Service”) in accordance with the Defining Quality of Electronic Communications Service Order 2005 and Open Internet Access Decree 2017 as amended or replaced from time to time by the Commissioner of Electronic Communications and Postal Regulation (“the Commissioner”). However, due to the nature of the electronic communications, it is impossible to provide the Service seamlessly and the quality and coverage of the Service is partly dependent on the customer’s terminal equipment, partly from the epic network and partly from other providers and other electronic communications networks which connects with or to which the epic network is connected.
2. Coverage and Services can be adversely affected by radio interference, atmospheric conditions, geographic factors, network congestion, maintenance, outages on other networks and provider sites or other operational or technical difficulties which means that the customer may not receive the Service in certain areas or at certain times. Other factors that may affect the quality of the Service and speeds received by the customer are:
i. Wireless connection of the terminal equipment to the Device.
ii. The terminal equipment used by the customer.
iii. Other programmes or applications running at the terminal equipment of the customer.
iv. Operation of other devices in the customer’s area that affect the quality of the Service.
v. Use of the customer’s connection by other users on the same site and / or by other users without the customer's approval.
vi. Infection of the customer's terminal equipment by viruses, spyware, a.o.
vii. Interference of other equipment causing delays to the customer’s terminal equipment.
viii. Speed test over a VPN where a lower speed will be typically assigned due to security and encryption.
ix. The type of application used by the customer with the Service.
x. Network congestion level when the customer tests the speed. The access speeds may vary throughout the day depending on how busy the internet is as a whole and the node where the website the customer wants to visit is located.
3. The advertised speed is the 85% of the maximum speed the customer can receive while using the Service, unless paragraph 2 exceptions apply.
Complaints Administration Procedure
4. In case of any issue, the customer may contact the customer service of epic at 136, or at any shop or by email to contactus@epic.com.cy. If the complaint is related to the internet speeds and/or the quality of the Service, the customer is required to perform relevant speed tests before the submission of the complaint. The measurements should be performed using the tool http://www.ocecpr.org.cy/el/content/cynettest-systima-ektimisis-poiotitas-eyryzonikon-syndeseon developed by the Office of the Commissioner for this purpose. Measurements using any other tool will not be accepted. Direct wired connection of the terminal equipment and disconnection of additional devices from the wireless network are required.
5. Measurements should be made for a period of three consecutive calendar days and at various times of the day. In order for a complaint to be considered valid, the customer must receive speeds lower than the advertised speed and the exceptions of paragraph 2 not to be applicable and / or the measurements have not been affected by the factors in paragraph 2 above. The customer should be able to provide the above metrics to epic when reporting the complaint. Epic reserves the right to conduct its own measurements for more accurate results and not to accept the customer's measurements.
6. The complaints administration procedure is summarized below:
- Complaint report. The customer through the call center 136, after visiting epic's shop or online at contactus@epic.com.cy, reports his complaint by providing the necessary files and information. In order for the complaint of the customer to be registered, the necessary checks should be made by the customer in cooperation with epic’s customer service officers following the technical internal control procedure.
- The complaint is sent to the competent support department, which conducts the necessary investigation and informs the customer for the progress of the complaint. If resolving the issue requires further technical actions, a technician may visit the customer’s premises.
- The customer is informed accordingly by epic’s support department.
- During the administration process of each complaint, the customer may be informed of its progress by calling epic’s call center at 136 or by email to contactus@epic.com.cy.
