The role:
We are seeking an Accountant to join our Finance Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing financial documents in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring prompt payment of supplier invoices, maintaining strong internal controls in line with company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and delivering reliable reporting and spend analysis to internal stakeholders.
Your Responsibilities:
• Reconcile vendor statements to ensure timely and accurate payments; investigate and resolve any discrepancies
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, to exchange information and resolve issues
• Process invoices accurately and on time
• Respond promptly to inquiries from internal and external customers and vendors
• Assist with the month-end closing process for the Payables department
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Payables Supervisor/Manager
• Supervise stock counts for all retail shops and warehouses
• Ensure the accuracy of inventory records and process necessary adjustments

Your Profile:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field / CAT qualification
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar accounting role
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and familiarity with IFRSs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system will be considered an advantage
• Strong multitasking and organizational abilities, with the capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Team-oriented with good interpersonal skills
